There are many big companies in the U.S. who offer transgender health care to their employees from gender therapy to surgery! Last year the list grew to include Apple, Chevron, General Mills, Dow Chemical, American Airlines, Kellogg, Sprint, Levi Strauss, Eli Lilly, Best Buy,…
EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Binder arrived! Impressed I got into it with how bad my wrist has been this week. Have a bit of tweaking to do, learning how to get things in place for a more convincing look. Still happy as hell, I look way flatter than I had expected.
….currently not sure how I’m going to manage to get back out of it though XD haha
Lately I’ve seen people explaining this simply as “it’s a more inclusive term” and leaving it at that. But there’s a reason it’s seen as more inclusive: the asterisk. And that asterisk makes an important change to the meaning.
An asterisk is a wildcard character in computing….

In a statement, TLC’s Executive Director Masen Davis commented on the implementation of the ruling, saying, “This is a historic day for human rights in the United States…starting today transgender and gender non-conforming people now have legal recourse if they face discrimination on the job. We no longer have to be silent when we are fired or not hired simply for being who we are.”

“i have no problem with homosexuals my best friend is one” says the tumblr user, causing angels to descend from heaven playing gorgeous harps and drape them in garlands of flowers, proclaiming them the number one gay rights activist of all time, literally incapable of homophobia, infallible and the winner of all internet arguments until the end of time, filled with the light of pure social justice righteousness, and the next coming of jesus christ himself

I finally just gave in and said fuck it - I bought a bunch of stuff just to make myself happy. A lot of it was stuff I’d been wanting/needing to get anyways.
On top of that binder I apparently can’t shut up about I finally set up an auto-shipping account for rat food, so I’ll stop running out every other month because I’m a flake. My girlfriend Azure and I also went out to the local 24-hour supermart and poked around in the clothing section for a while. I finally picked up some super comfy boxers, a new sports bra (Fiiinally! My old one was held together with zip ties and a safety pin), keroppi socks (!!!), and some cute purple boyshorts. We also found a super cute summer top for Azure on the clearance rack. About damn time she had something adorable to wear :D
I was way too amused by the sheer level of genderfuckery present in our purchase while we were ringing things up.
Eeeeee I just ordered a binder~ And holy damn is Underworks’ shipping cheap!
Wish I could remember which tumblr blogs had those binder exchange dealies going. My family doesn’t give a shit what I get delivered to the house, I could totally be a delivery/turnaround point for people who need to be sneakier about it.
And hell, I may finally try to get some actual photos of myself once the binder arrives. Azure’s been saying she wants to get some photos of me anyways (I always hate my own shots of myself, so I think I’ll have to put her in charge of that project XD).
I’ve been thinking about ordering the Underworks Tri-top waist length binder (here) rather than one of the full length ones, since I rather like my hips and ass. My concern right now is that the length is still 15” and I am a fairly tiny person, so from collarbone to belly button is 15” on me, and my waist curves in at much closer to 12”. I’m worried that the binder will just be rolling up all the time and bother me the whole time I’m wearing it.
Any other short torso’d folk out there have experience with this binder, or suggestions on different ones to look at?
15) How do you deal with gendered things? Clothes shopping, bathrooms, forms, etc.
I’ve never had a lot of patience for clothes shopping in the first place, pretty much a “run in, find what I wanted, maybe poke around a bit, and leave” type. I haaaate trying things on. I manage to be too petite for how curvy I am, so the things that fit me wight/width wise weren’t ever meant to handle my bust/hips, and clothes that fit my bust/hips tend to be baggy, which is usually the lesser evil than too-tight. Everything else I tend to default to female, since its generally less hassle if there are other people around.
14) Are you part of the Gender and Sexuality Minority community?
Yeah, technically. I’m just not really active in it. I have a severe lack of free time to go visiting the city, and I haven’t really thought to look for anything closer to home.
